Abia State University (ABSU) is a state-owned university located in Uturu, Abia State, Nigeria. Established in 1981 as Imo State University and renamed in 1991 following the creation of Abia State, it has grown into one of Nigeria’s leading state universities. Abia State University (ABSU), Uturu has begun selling its Post UTME screening form for the 2026/2027 academic session, with the entire screening process to be conducted online for eligible undergraduate applicants. Candidates who meet the requirements such as scoring at least 150 in UTME, possessing five O’Level credits, and selecting or switching to ABSU via JAMB are encouraged to apply through the university’s portal.
